I hate having my photo taken!

I’m David (Also answer to Dave) a Coffee loving, Cheese hating Wedding Photographer located in the lovely little village of Shrewton, near Salisbury in Wiltshire.

I’ve never been one for the whole look at me and see what i’ve done thing!

Coming from a military background, we just get on with it, never sure how to take praise or accept it.

But you’ve come here to see who this person is and can we work with them? Other people say it so much better than me so here is a whole bunch of words and pictures from previous wedding couples!

We are so glad we chose David as our wedding photographer. He was wonderfully enthusiastic, supportive and organised in the run-up to the day, and gave us lots of great advice. Meeting him for a trial/rehearsal a month before the wedding was very helpful; he gave us lots of helpful tips and it allowed us to get used to being photographed so that we were (slightly) less awkward on the day!

My journey

I started my wedding photography business while I was still serving as an officer in the British Army. Slowly developing my skills and working out what I wanted to be and also finding my style. I have been lucky enough to have been all around the world and have seen some amazing sights. From war zones to wedding venues, it’s the same principle - People and Light!!!!

My Company

I established my Limited Company a few years ago so I do pay my taxes, I have full public liability insurance and a whole host of other insurances, so I don’t take chances when it comes to your day. I always shoot with 2 cameras that are permanently attached to me and sometimes I have 3 cameras on the go at any one time. For those interested I am currently shooting weddings with the Fuji mirrorless system and these cameras are just brilliant!

Experience

After all of my time in the Army, dealing with the wedding mosh pit of grannys and Aunties elbowing me out of the way is easy!

I’ve been told I have a calming influence during some not so calm situations!
