Bowerchalke Barn Winter wedding photography
Written By David Scammell
I haven’t been to Bowerchalke Barn for a while now, but I really do like it there. The light that comes in for the ceremony is just gorgeous, the barn is huge so if the weather is not great then you can do everything inside. But on this December wedding with Alex and George, we had all the options as it wasn’t too cold and definitely not wet!!!! So we managed all of the group shots out side, with a little bit of moving around to get out of the direct sun though.
After some great speeches, canapés and drinks it was time to set off for the Bridge Inn in the Woodfords, it was nearly dark when got there so managed a few photos with Alex and George by the river, then into the reception marquee. The Bridge Inn is such a great venue with a homely pub on one side and the marquee on the other, after some amazing food, we had some fun with sparklers while the cèilidh band set up.
And then it all happened at once!!!!! Sooooo much fun and dancing with the dance floor absolutely packed out for every dance! I love getting into the thick of it during the dancing and avoided being kicked and sampled quite well!!! Everyone really enjoyed themselves and I stayed for both of the bands sets as I couldn’t deliver this collection without seeing all of the dancing!
Alex and George, thank you so much for being so super and incredibly chilled on your day. Please enjoy this little selection from absolutely hundreds more from the day.
